Socorro Gill is President and Co-Founder of TLC Squared Ministries. She began the Home Care Kit program for moms to help raise positive awareness of postpartum depression, perinatal mood and anxiety challenges, and give the hope of recovery to families in the surrounding communities of Denver, Colorado and beyond.
In March of 2023 she was inspired to become a certified doula after assisting her oldest daughter through her pregnancy and becoming a grandmother for the first time. Since then, her passion for providing a more holistic support process to moms and their families was born. This endeavor helped complete the vision she birthed in 2015 when she first began giving love gifts to moms to help them feel loved and supported during their pregnancy and beyond.
Doula simply means "a woman servant" from the Greek definition.
Doulas can be a great help to moms-to-be and their family before, during and after the birth of their baby! According to Merriam-Webster's definition, a doula is a person trained to provide advice, information, emotional support, and physical comfort to a mother before, during, and just after childbirth. Research shows that childbirth does go more smoothly with a doula: labor is 25 percent shorter, the need for epidural pain relief is 60 percent less and the Caesarean section rate is reduced by half.—Susan Gilbert
At TLC Squared our goal, through our doula services, is to recreate your home through your birthing and postpartum experience by teaching you about the birthing process, loving you through prayer and connecting you to local resources, especially postpartum support, in the name of Christ.
